Moving Forward

Serving the fluid power community is part of our commitment to the fluid power industry. The IFPS Board of Directors is proud to announce that there will be no increase in Membership Dues or Certification Testing/Retesting Fees for 2010! Please visit our redesigned Web site at www.ifps.org to see all the IFPS has to offer for certification and training.

This is a great time to take advantage of the NEW Live Distance Learning Program, which takes place in a state-of-the-art training facility for five (5) weeks equating twenty (20) hours. Online delivery is offered during the evening hours and is accessed from your own computer with Internet access.

IFPS has released a new certification. The Electronic Controls Specialist (CFPECS) certification is designed to review and test understanding, specification, and application of the full breadth of electronics used in the fluid power industry from simple sensors and limits to HMIs, controllers, and networks. It includes a brief review of applicable pneumatic and hydraulic principles, as well as in-depth examples of the electronics for both mobile and industrial fluid power equipment.

The IFPS has maintained its low online training prices so IFPS members can take advantage of “travel-free training” in disciplines such as Mobile Hydraulics, Basic Hydraulics, Basic Mechanical, Mobile Electrical, Basic Pneumatics, and Basic Industrial Electrical courses.
Members are encouraged to take advantage of their IFPS membership discount on professional development books and publications.

You may learn about these programs by calling IFPS Headquarters at 800-308-6005 or by visiting www.ifps.org.
